Laura Chapman Trundle, Operations Manager

Laura comes to Sunbelt with a strong background of business ownership, having owned three businesses over a ten year period.  Starting from the ground up with her first two businesses in the interior design field, Laura grew the businesses which became successful entities within her hometown in North Georgia.  With her third business, Laura purchased fixtures and equipment from a business owner that was closing shop.  Before selling and moving to Atlanta, Laura’s business became a well-known successful retail office supply and independent shipping center in the area.
Entrepreneurship, was in Laura’s make up.  Her father, after retiring 20 years military, moved back to his hometown, became a licensed electrical and HVAC contractor and started his own company.
Laura worked with the current owner of Sunbelt Atlanta in a boutique M&A firm where she was Operations Manager, where she kept up with 11 deal makers, and ran the day-to-day administrative operations.  Prior to joining Sunbelt, she was involved in the Oil and Gas industry.
Currently, Laura resides in Gwinnett County with her husband Scott.

Ric Hepburn, Senior Intermediary/M&A Advisor – Healthcare

Ric is a Senior Intermediary and MA Advisor who has successfully helped privately held companies through the acquisition process.  He is part of an elite group of Intermediaries having earned both the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and Certified Business Broker (CBB) designations.
His very first business venture was the purchase of a boutique coffee shop in the historical Leimert Park area in Los Angeles, CA. That experience fueled his passion for deal making.  Since 2010, he has facilitated acquisitions in the medical, health and wellness industry.
Ric attended college in New England on a basketball scholarship. His leadership qualities and driven personality earned him Team Captain, as well as, First Team All-New England Honors.  He went on to play professional basketball in The Netherlands.
His life’s motto is … “You can always give up too soon, but you can never give up too late.”

David Lyon, Senior Intermediary

David Lyon began his career with Hallmark Cards, and was actively involved in product management and new product development. He joined a national privately held building material manufacturer and held various senior marketing and sales management positions. His responsibilities included growing the company both by organic internal growth, as well as by acquiring other private and family owned companies.

David’s background includes experience with process and procedure improvement, advertising and sales promotion, new product development and introduction, sales force organization and alignment, and strategic planning. He has extensive experience with distribution, and served two terms as Chairman of the Industry Advisory Council of the National Association of Floor Covering Distributors. David received his undergraduate degree in Advertising and his M.B.A. from Oklahoma State University. He is a licensed realtor in the State of Georgia. David and his wife reside in Roswell, Georgia.

Doreen Morgan, CEO and Managing Director – Franchise/Specialty Distribution

Doreen has been a Sell-side advisor on middle market mergers,acquisitions and main street business sales for more than 10 years.Her industry expertise is in the Franchise and Specialty Distribution space, where she works with Franchisors, and multi-unit operators on exits.  She has a solid track record as a skilled negotiator, and has closed more than 50 transactions since 2005 representing clients in a multitude of industries including; B2BServices, Healthcare, Education, Automotive Aftermarket, Security,Construction, Light Manufacturing, Textile Distribution, Restaurant and Retail.

She is one of approximately 80 people who has earned the Merger and Acquisition Master Intermediary designation, (M&AMI) and is a registered agent; series 79 and 63.

Before acquiring Sunbelt Business Brokers – Atlanta, Doreen worked with a large International M&A Firm/Investment bank and early in her career, she worked the corporate sell-side for an internationally recognized franchise organization with a portfolio of five QSR food concepts.

Doreen lives with her husband, three children and their pet beagle, Elbee in Roswell, Georgia.
Greg Morris, Senior Intermediary/M&A Advisor – Transportation & Logistics

Greg is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of exceptional performance in M&A, P&L leadership,global sales & marketing and operational leadership at both Fortune 50 and private companies. He began his career at General Electric in GE’s Leadership Development Program. Early in his career he held roles in sales, marketing and Six Sigma. He quickly rose to executive level within GE and held several leadership roles including Commercial Director at GE Capital (transportation finance), Chief Commercial Offer at GEAsset Intelligence and Vice President at GE Trailer Fleet Services. Greg later took on P&L leadership roles at UTC including Eastern Region Vice President at UTC Fire & Security Services as well as Vice PresidentNorth America for UTC’s Electronic Lock division. In 2014 Greg and a partner started a private investment firm, FourFront Strategies LLC, focused on the acquisition and growth of transportation and logistics related companies.

Greg lives with his wife and two boys outside of Atlanta, GA. In his free time he coaches youth sports and is an active member of the Georgia Tech Letterwinner Club. Greg attended Georgia Tech on a football scholarship and was a member of the 1990 National Championship Team. Greg has a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Masters in Business Administration from Wake Forest University.

Kent O’Callaghan, Senior Intermediary

Kent is a Sell-side Dealmaker with more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, new business development, and acquisitions.  Her background includes experience in multiple industries including design, manufacturing, distribution, technology, real estate and construction.  Kent’s strengths are reflected in her ability to understand the needs of her sellers and buyers and in her negotiation skills.

Kent began her career in new business development at Armstrong World Industries where she worked with many small to medium size business owners in design, manufacturing and distribution.  She then transferred to the technology sector developing and managing Fortune 500 accounts.

Post Y2K for the technology industry, Kent spent ten years helping sellers/buyers navigate the sales process for one of their largest assets during a successful career in real estate.  Most recently, Kent served as a senior member of the Acquisitions Team for a private equity group that acquired more than$500M worth of real estate.
Kent has a BA from Indiana University and holds a GA Real Estate License.  She resides with her husband and three children in Peachtree Corners, GA.

Mark Werbalowsky, Mangager Director

Mark Werbalowsky is a Managing Director with Sunbelt Business Brokers – Atlanta and has been a Business Intermediary in Atlanta, GA since 1998. In that time, Mark has facilitated more than 120 transactions, ranging from manufacturing and business services to distribution, restaurants and retail.

Mark has been involved with the start up and sale of four of his own companies over the course of the past 20 years, and has an intimate understanding of the sell-side process, which Clients benefit from when it comes to dealing with the softer side of a transaction.

Prior to his career as a Business Intermediary, and upon graduating Michigan State University, Mark spent 20 years as a Business Development Executive with Fortune 100 Companies.

Mark resides in Roswell, GA. with his wife Vikki, and his son Zachary is a senior at The University of Georgia.
Ray Boreham, Senior Intermediary/M&A Advisor

Mr. Boreham, emeritus owner of  Sunbelt Business Brokers Atlanta, is a Certified Business Intermediary as designated by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and is a Diversified Cash Flow Specialist (DCFS) as certified by the American Cash Flow Association. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Georgia.

Mr. Boreham was Vice President of Sales

and Marketing from 1965 to 1985 of Xomox Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio, a $100 million division of Emerson Electric and manufacturer of industrial flow control equipment. He traveled extensively throughout North America and the world in this position. In 1985 he left Xomox Corporation to start his own manufacturing company of industrial products, which after one merger, a subsequent buy-back and relocation to Atlanta, he sold to Tyco International in 1991. After the sale, he stayed on with Tyco for a five-year period to assist with further engineering development, manufacturing, sales and marketing.

Mr. Boreham was owner and CEO of Sunbelt in Atlanta, which he had operated from 1998 to 2015, and in this capacity had sold in excess of 150 privately held companies. He also owned Master Stone Crafters, a metro Atlanta granite and marble fabrication company, which was one of his own listings that he purchased in 1999 and oversees through a general manager who handles the day to day activities. Subsequent to the acquisition of Master Stone Crafters he also purchased Synmar, a cast marble manufacturing company of custom designed bathtubs and showers and Castech, another granite, quartz and solid surface fabrication company that both operate under a general manager reporting directly to Mr. Boreham.

Mr. Boreham has in-depth experience in all facets of business including general management, P&L responsibility, engineering, manufacturing, and sales and marketing, as well as the valuation process to determine fair market value of businesses and facilitating financing for buyers. He also has extensive knowledge in all business sectors with particular expertise in manufacturing, distribution and service companies.
